Not theology quite true.....
If you are truly saved the fruit of that would be living it but there are zero works that are necessary for salvation. It is by faith alone.
.i.e. The thief on the cross or a person making a deathbed confession has zero works attached.
Repentance and faith in Jesus Christ is all that scripture requires BUT it must be genuine faith.
Many will claim to be Christians with works aplenty but on the last day God will say "Depart from me, I never knew you"
Yes, believing he's lord & accepting what Christ did to save you is the only thing required for salvation. And to stop sinning keeps you from being harmed.

Yep, and another important point is that no man can bring anybody else to true faith in Christ -- only God can "draw them to His Son", as in John 6:44. This completely destroys the popular belief that men can cause other men to come to Christ. This is a most wicked perversion of evangelism and is the primary basis upon which countless atrocities have been committed, "in the name of Christ", these "warriors for Christ" have murdered, tortured, slandered, extorted their way through the ages and thank GOD this has finally been put to an end, at least the physical aspects of it. There is still plenty of mental / verbal persecution and irritant by zealous "evangelists", putting huge burdens on people, often not even knowing the truth of what they themselves preach as they lobby their prospects with whatever sect or denomination they subscribe to, but Christ never pursued people who didn't believe Him. He was not shoving his teachings down peoples' throat, He was "sewing seeds" and whatever the heart conditions of the listeners was determined whether or not they received His message.
Also, the tweet is a bit misleading. You don't get saved by "converting to 'Christianity'", whatever he means by that term, you get saved by faith in Christ. This further illustrates the abysmal state of most believers mentality, thinking that whatever they call Christianity is the same thing as belief in Jesus. It is a highly-loaded term and I cringe when I hear it
Well, we agree that it must be a genuine faith. And you are correct, there is no qualifying deed to be done in the case of death bed confessions. But if you simply convert and do not act as a Christian for your remaining life I think you'll be getting the "never knew you" message.
every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
Corinthians 3:13-15
If you become saved through John 3:16 (believe on Christ), but live a crappy life, the result is your rewards in heaven are diminished.
Ahh, Yes, However, good works in God's eyes will follow sincere trust in Him.. Yes, our own works are unprofitable (and even worse, like bloody rags) We have faith in the work of Messiah, who has lived a perfect life (as described in Isaiah 53) then died the death we deserved, We do good works through relationship with the Risen Messiah, Jesus. Jesus also said, "By their fruits you shall know them." We as adopted children have the Spirit of God to work these fruits in us as we work them out.
Well, you DO actually have to live it as well, but close enough.

Fun fact: The phrase bloody rags there actually translates to dirty menstrual rags which is about one of the most grotesque things to Jewish culture
True, but as a female, I was hesitant to bring this up my self...
