Umm, with all due respect, if you accept God in Christ as one with the Father and believe that he rose on the third day you will not die either, you will have eternal life with HIM. It may not be fire and brimstone, I am not convinced about those depictions, because when those words were written, Gehenna was a wasted place that burned, like a dump, and that is where the bodies went, without ritual burial. I believe your soul is eternal, and you get to spend it in Paradise with God, the creator of all things beautiful and peaceful and glorious, or you get to be a demon soul, wandering in misery and wrath, causing all kinds of shit, until the final judgement. God does want us to behave a certain way, and part of that way is to love him above all else, forgive others, be good to others as he has been good to us, to not reject the poor and hungry, and to not keep sinning after you have asked for forgiveness. But conversion is necessary for Paradise, and to be reunited with others in Christ. Ask him to come to you, he will, it is not difficult at all, easiest thing in the world, God gave him authority over the world, and in Paradise he sits at God's right hand. Ready to hold you forever in eternal love. `Our life is a gift though, to spend wisely and in gratitude, so you don't have to be in a hurry to be with him, ask him, and he will walk with you through everything you do.
