How convenient that they just happened to bring such a high-speed camera that day, unless it’s a camera they normally use.
You know, to capture all the high-speed action normally found at a Trump rally. 🙄
Any half way decent dslr can capture a rifle round in flight. And just watch any white house press briefing to see how these photographers "spray and pray" (with the shutter button of course)
It was probably high end. When I stopped doing photography as a gig, my backup backup backup rig could do up to 1/8000 shutter speed and could capture something like 60 continous raw frames over the course of a second. Plenty fast enough camera. If the photographer had the wits, as soon as they heard the snap or the report, press and hold the shutter button, almost a guarantee to capture the round if the camera is pointed In the right direction and the settings were dialed in. It does make one ask the question if the photog knew he was going to be capturing a rifle round ahead of time and prepped accordingly. Modern high end cameras can prob dump raw frames at this speed continuously for hours.

I'm would bet they had advanced warning.

Maybe. But what kind of camera was used? Was it a half way decent dslr or something more?
