So here's the thing - I don't think it is a "trans" as we would speak of them (ie. a guy that wants to pretend to be a girl, just to smoke women in a boxing ring). I would have expected their win rate to be closer to 100% than it is.
I'm seeing their defenders say they have "DSD" ("differences of sexual development"), which apparently can mean you have XY chromos and that can produce an elevated testosterone level (women normal make only a small amount).
Let's take them at their word for a second.
What I'm thinking happened is: they learned at some point they had this mutation and just started taking additional testosterone. That's why the boot from the IBA, and they either knew the IOC would let them in, or convinced them.
Either way, this individual should not be in that ring.
The statement by the IBA said they didnt test hormone levels and that they booted him for having a Y chromosome.
