Unpopular opinion, but I would've totally done that at the age of 13+. I can't remember how many teachers I lusted after in 8th grade on. Hell, I flirted with many!
I agree but it's on the adult to know better
Indeed. When we're young and full of hormones, we don't see the problems with it, we just are excited for it.
That's why when this happens, we have a responsibility to come down harshly on them. Shame and consequences, so they are scared into not doing this to begin with.
Adults are meant to protect children. We keep them from making mistakes. There are effects that may seem paltry to some, but difficult to nail down future relationship/behavioral woes when children are victimized by adults like this.
From my point of view, I don't even think it needs to be said that "I would've done that as a kid" because there is a reason why we have an age of consent and that is because children are too retarded to comprehend the ramifications of it, and that's a good thing. They shouldn't be thinking about that sort of thing at that age. It's just a distraction from building lifelong friendships and getting education and skills that they need.
It is sick to be attracted sexually or feel the need to exert one’s power sexually on a child.
