There is a good channel on youtube called Unworthy History that tells a lot of the historical episodes which don't agree with woke ideology.
a lot of good stories from the pioneer days on that channel.
Thank you for sharing this. History must be reflected accurately, it needs to reflect the good and the bad to ensure accuracy and a fair evaluation.
That Republican controlled Congress subsequently passed the Reconstruction Acts of 1867, a series of measures that called for Army occupation of ten former Confederate states and measures that ensured voting rights for African Americans.
You have to read between the lines of this article, because it never uses the word "Democrat" to identify the shooters or local government or former Confederate actors, the final paragraph does give this big clue: "Northerners angry over the violence helped the Republican Party take control of the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate in the Congressional elections of 1866."
So this article is somewhat dishonest for failing to make that Confederate-Democrat connection. Reconstruction, especially for the 10 former states in rebellion, was a Republican program. So add that to the "Black Past" that this article purports (but fails) to deliver.
Exactly. I shared this with AroomaNuminahh when you brought this to my attention. I was aware of who they did not name and you are correct. Below is what i shared.
What many people are not aware of is the Democrats created the KKK. While they mention attacks on African Americans they fail to include Republicans being attacked to ensure Democrats came into power.
Funny how the D-word is conspicuously absent.
This is why knowing history is so important - then their attempted manipulation becomes obvious.
Wow! This knowledge helps me better contextualize the 'coup' that occurred in my beloved Wilmington, NC back in 1898. OP, THANK YOU for sharing this with us. I had no idea there had been a massacre in N.O., some years earlier.
But here's a link to the same web-site for a story about the Wilmington nightmare: https://www.blackpast.org/african-american-history/1898-rev-charles-s-morris-describes-wilmington-massacre-1898/
How is this related to Q? We're sharing what is mostly un-reported history. For DECADES there have been evil intentions in some to keep us divided and/or enslaved. We MUST find ways to work together to overcome the hidden 'oppressors'.
Thank you fer the link. What many people are not aware of is the Democrats created the KKK. While the mention attacks on African Americans they fail to include Republicans being attacked to ensure Democrats came into power.
And, Thank You, L P. You've helped me to start a search for an author who has analyzed and documented utilizing power to UPLIFT people instead of pursuing power to OWN people. Lord Jesus comes to mind as an example of the former type of power utilization - but no doubt there are others - and I just never thought to seek them. BE YE BLESSED!
No thanks needed. Happy to share the information and all glory to God.
Jesus is a great example and time for all come together and heal. Leaving the power to God only as we follow God and Jesus.
Those racist Republicans strike again!
