I'm trying to point out that the words have very specific meanings....
Scripture
noun
Anything written; a writing; a document; an inscription.
prophecy
/prŏf′ĭ-sē/
noun
An inspired utterance of a prophet, viewed as a revelation of divine will. A prediction of the future, made under divine inspiration. Such an inspired message or prediction transmitted orally or in writing.
If you cannot tell what the difference is, maybe your teachers failed you....
The Scripture is the complete self-revelation of God, containing all prophesy. You’re not going to “win” or land an insult by your own perceived loopholes or semantics. That’s not how the sufficiency and authority and inerrancy of Scripture works. It’s not subject to the arguments and “points” you try to make.
This is because you believe that the word ""Scripture"" means Holy Writings, which it invariably does Not....
It simply means Written Words, and that is applicable to ALL Books ever written messages, Letters, Notes, Signs, Billboards, as long as it is written, it is Scripture....
Prophesy, on the other hand, is much more Specific, It comes from a Prophet, it can be Spoken or Written, it is Inspired, and may be a revelation of Divine Will, and some are just pure BS from BS Artists...
There's a whole World of Difference....
So, from here on out, I'm going to simply as Which specific book or Memo, or Note, or do you mean the Scriptures from Congress, or some President, or maybe the King of England, which thing are you talking about???
I think the word you're looking for is Prophesy, not Scripture....
Scripture simply means Written....
Prophesy means Predicted....
No. Prophecy is in the Scripture. The Bible. There is nothing else.
