For better or worse, we couldn't have kids, so we were kind of out of the loop witnessing the last couple generations. Not to mention living in the woods in BFE for the last decade. And I work remote now. The one's I've met online showing up in the workforce lately haven't been particularly exceptional, but also not too out of the norm.
That said, I'm in IT, so there's a certain level of skill necessary and it also attracts a fair amount of geeks.
Lol isolated and in a field that tends towards introverts- I know some folks that would consider that heaven! Hiring in my decidedly STEM company has been miserable. Between woke engineers who spend more time looking for triggering language in existing documentation to purge, instead of actually producing something, and entitled twits who want to quickly earn more than experienced, productive people but can't be bothered to listen and learn (then blame everyone else for their errors), to those who spend all their workday chatting in corporate diversity groups. Sigh.
These soi bois are products of "independent women" who scared off the father with her relentless bullshit and poor decision making. Kid had no proper discipline, role model or the BIG ONE - boundaries.
Men maintain boundaries and discipline. Without them, it's "willy nilly".
Not saying women are to blame...we love and need them, but just like men that need to be "checked before wrecked", the same holds true when women aren't "living or acting right".
Fren, have you seen this generation of spineless boys? Can't ever call them men. They cannot even change a tire...
