Always be aware of your surroundings, watch your 6, and be prepared to bring extreme force in even the most innocent of surroundings. Most of the people I know around here go armed, even to church and the grocery store.
For summer (light clothing, loose fitting) it's a Ruger LC9... for fall and winter (heavier, bulkier clothing) it's a Springfield XDM 19+1 9mm. With backup mags for both.
So far it's pretty peaceful in this area, but I'm keeping an eye on the large cities around here... Knoxville and Chattanooga... to see what happens there. I wouldn't live in either of those places for any amount of money.
