This video doesn’t make sense. It feels fake and designed to manipulate. Like that video where the white cops pull their guns on a black serviceman at a gas station
When you figure out that it’s 100% real (just like the other one you mentioned), will you stop putting cops on a pedestal? Will you finally realize that the vast majority of cops are really, really ignorant of the Constitution and don’t give two shits about your rights?
There are around 3 million interactions per year with the cops. Cops being human, some are bound to be assholes.
With that said, This serves as no justification. They should be held at a higher standard. Because their actions can impact innocent people if they are careless.
I find it that most cop lack training and have no idea of what the "law" actually says. Let alone the constitution they swore to uphold. I am willing to bet most cops have never even read the constitution. And I know for sure they do not know any of the laws they enforce, or even care really. They mostly just do as they are told.
Yeah, I am well aware. The guy negotiated it poorly. I got pulled over coming home from my pastor's house after midnight with my son once. Cop was suspicious but I respectfully interacted with him and it ended well. I've interacted with a few over the years. I've been wronged too, never ending like this though, because being stupid does hurt and this dad didn't help himself or the two thugs.
Standing up for your rights is not being disrespectful. That is exactly the mindset that has destroyed American policing.
If your impression of the situation is “yeah, but he could have just complied and been left alone”, then you are literally a part of the problem.
The minutemen in Lexington and Concord could also have just complied with the British police coming to confiscate their rifles and been left alone.
Armed agents of the government with the ability to remove your freedom walking up to you and demanding your papers is not liberty, is not freedom, and IS NOT AMERICAN.

It's a fucking police bodycam that was acquired via subpoenaed or FOIA request.
Don't be a cop sucker and lick an authoritarian boot that's being kicked in the face of a fellow citizen.
An undertrained / stupid cop stopped a man with no probable cause and assaulted him. That happens almost every day.

Seems like it was created and populated to stir more violence and animosity toward a white washing of police. I am baffled this got stickied.
It’s just a FOIA of a bad cop’s bodycam. This actually happened, exactly as it appears in the video.
I’m sorry, but there really are tons of really bad cops like this one. Welcome to the Great Awakening.
