Also easy to manipulate: anxious, fearful people. So, every single "news" story is anchored in and calculated to magnify fear and anxiety.

The brainwashed masses THINK they're watching a real, true documentary about the world, and it is scary, so they better be afraid and anxious.

In reality they're watching a heavily funded, scripted, directed, commercial sci-fi horror crime drama—a major motion picture production.
