Thanks KH.
Good points. I'll admit I was a bit sloppy here. It was only after writing a few things that I realized this was an old screenshot.
Your points are well made. But I'll comment a bit further.
In the beginning.... - this is quite true, a point I have attempted to get across to many on this board on various occasions. It would not make sense if the screen shot was current, as we do not use the hashtag anymore, but in the given context, perfectly legit.
The link I cited was the one posted by redpill for the video with DJT calling for "great awakening". I was refering to the link that Redpill provided in the tweet. Considering that the link is posted as to a FOX video, I expected it to still be current. Note sure why that doesn't work now. (Unless it was not a FOX video but a clip created OF a fox video.)
"We are calling for "great awakening" of ...." is grammatically weird and non-standard. Compare with "we are calling for A great awakening of..." which is fine, or "we are calling for great awakening IN... " which is also fine.
Moreover, a search for the text string here also yields no results. A story by a standard FOX personality with such a headline should still be around. I'm NOT talking about the Q content, or content posted by a Q patriot like redpill, but by something which the screenshot effectively asserts is a FOX news story and headline.
There are several red-flags there, and without the original source (hmmm.... why has the OP hung on to a screen shot from 5 years ago? That's a legitimate question, imo), I think its fine to recognize those red flags and apply a moderate level of skepticism.
The problem I see is that we are constantly bombarded by fake disinfo that is designed to distract or mislead us, and when we stop applying critical thinking just because something ticks all the boxes on our bias preference profile, then it's a problem waiting to happen.
It's 100% possible and also very plausible that DJT actually made the statement quoted, that "We are calling for great awakening of US.....". But at this point, its unverifiable, so how does this help?
I think that redpill78 has proven his legitimacy over and over, so I am not questioning redpill. But how easy would it be to simply doctor the screenshot, to make it look like something that originally it wasn't? Easy.
Not a big deal, but as I look at the GAW board I see less and less application of critical thinking and empirical analysis applied to all sorts of content (information) that comes across the board, and that does not serve us in the long run, imo.
To me, if something has no verifiable source, no other points of reference, PLUS it hits my bias preferences, it's automatically suspect. Not disproven, but also no proven.
To be frank, these days my bias is AGAINST stuff that has no source, no identifiable verification, no corroborating points of reference. Maybe in this case, MY biases kicked in a little too hard, but I still think the points are worth making.
I know many do not agree with me. I think a lot are just happy to accept whatever comes across their screen, as long as it fits their preferred framework. I find that approach less and less attractive, and that is a positive affirmation of the validity of the Q operation, not the opposite. People NOT applying critical thinking and empirical analysis diminishes the effectiveness of Q, imo.
Updoogle for your reasoned response.
