Just like someone who is ignorant for judging a doctor solely by their bedside matter.
I'll take an arrogant asshole of a surgeon any day of the week, as long as he is the best at what he does to treat the patient. A good nurse can make up for the rest.
I started as an engineer and that held true there as well. Not all of them had stellar interpersonal skills, but most who didn't reigned supreme when it came time to realizing their creativity into products or solving problems.
I had a doctor refer me to a surgeon for a colonoscopy. I went for a consultation and the guy was arrogant, blunt and not at all pc. Apparently while I was under anesthesia I called him a cocky little bastard. No masks in their offices during Covid. His wife is his receptionist, and just as blunt. I went back to have a hernia repaired. Best doctor experience I’ve ever had. Btw, his online reviews are awful. Everyone hates his disposition. People want to be coddled. The truth doesn’t always make you feel good.
“People want to be coddled”. This is the real problem. We have become a nation of whiners and complainers. Way back in Pee Wee football the coaches used to say “SUCK IT UP”,
meaning if you can’t cut it quit the team.
Trump says “SUCK IT UP” without saying it out loud. But that is exactly what he means.
Yup, my dad had a heart surgeon that was very good, but people warned us he had no bedside manner.
He was great, I was shocked and impressed that he just talked normal and explained everything really clear.
Admittedly I have been told in different jobs I've had to be more sensitive.... I never understood it really, I was never mean or disrespectful (unless it was needed) just direct & honest.
Bullshit and fluff ALWAYS accompany lies and deception.
I don’t trust the whole fake medical establishment unless is some holistic doctors, however holistic can be tricky too. I have to do it myself and trust God,

My uncle was an electrical engineer. He was a good man and a hard worker. Was he fun 24/7? Nope.
