Can someone explain to me why is it so hard to adapt to so called "Western Values"?

Most of them are rooted in natural law and common sense. The 10 commandments is a good start.

Why is it hard to adapt to this way of life?

Natural Law and the 10 words say:

honor someone else's property.

Islam has a problem with that. Socialists have a problem with that. Commies have a problem with that. Jews have a problem with that.
