Is Elon white hat or black hat? This comment here just put it all in a new perspective for me.

I think you are missing my point here.
I am saying that I will not 100% TRUST a man with all that power. I am not saying he is a bad guy.
If you trust a guy with that amount of power. That is very foolish!
Trust him in what way? What need is there for trust at all? He’s not gonna babysit your kids. He’s running a company that is playing a key role in restoring sanity through freedom of speech not only in our country but across the world. He’s actually doing that. How would you ever need to put any trust in him at all? It just seems like an unnecessary thing to say. You have your own brain and your own conscience. Why spend any time judging a man to be trustworthy or not when you can simply judge his actions as being those that you would or wouldn’t choose if you were in his shoes?
You are taking my postiion out of context here.
It's simple.
I like Elon.
But I will never 100% trust a guy who is that powerful. So that just means to make sure I don't put on my blinders.
What has the Cabal done so well?
They have done a great marketing and sales job with actors.
Who know how to tell us what we want to hear. Who also are willing to do things that we like.
NEVER AGAIN will I put on the blinders because someone is doing something I approve.
Elon is Transactional for me. Keep the free speech going. And we are good.
But I am not going to support his efforts to make Twitter an all and everything platform either.
That's it. Pretty simple position here.
Here's how I see trust: "They can do pretty much whatever they want because I know they won't do anything I disagree with if I knew all the facts so even when they DO do something I feel queasy about, I'll assume that if I had more facts I would agree with it, so I'm going to basically support them whatever they do because they've proven themselves time and again and I trust them."
I just don't know anyone on this board who thinks this way about Elon. About Trump, many. Not all, but many. But I haven't seen a single person say this about Elon, ever. So to me it's like those, like you, who keep repeating that they don't trust him, it feels kind of like you're trying to convince yourself, because nobody else appears to be saying they DO trust him implicitly.
That's why I'm saying "Why are you even bothering to say it?" I don't know why this need exists on this board to constantly state that they don't trust Elon. Ok, you don't want X to become an "all everything" platform, and he says he'd like it to be. But look at how you just explained yourself: when he does something you like you praise it, when he does something you don't, you oppose it. Why you, or anybody, keeps feeling the need to inject the word "trust" into the conversation at all is what I have questions about.
For example: it seems that EVERY time Elon does something we all pretty much universally appreciate, such as give Trump 3 freaking hours and a billion views to speak his mind in a friendly, conversation, good faith manner, someone feels the need to warn everyone not to trust him. They cite his cabal mother. They cite his Baphomet Halloween costume. They debate whether he's a white hate, black hat, something called a "grey hat", a double agent, yada yada yada. I just don't get the need for that particular kind of discussion. It's almost like on this site if you praise anyone other than Trump or Jesus you've got to then stomach a chorus of these kinds of posts.
My point is just that I don't think trust needs to have anything to do with anything. Just like you said above, when they do what you would do in their shoes, it's ok to be happy about it. And when they don't, it's ok to say so. The need to psychoanalyze every player in this national drama or divine which team they play for has gotten tired for me, that's all.
No one is.
I said something simple: I like Elon.
I just will keep in mind how much power a single man has.
Through that filter is how I grade what Elon does. No one should have that much power:
I will never stop believing that.
