I noticed one pole vaulter specifically do the finger over lips "shoosh," right before he vaulted. I was watching because my daughter loves them. In many ways, there's a lot of love and beauty there. But like so much of the good, true and beautiful, they've corrupted it.

But I noticed that so many athletes are practically skeletal, and it amazes me that they can be so and still expend the kind of energy and power it takes to do what they do. But I also wonder how many of them even got where they are because of some kind of deal with the actual devil.
