Received a call this morning that sounded a lot like past donation solicitation calls except this time they said that 48 states recently passed a law affecting the 2024 Presidential election that says all voters must provide picture ID AND original voter registration card. According to the caller, the RNC is going to start running ads to inform the public of this change so that they don't get turned away at the polls. My $25 donation will help spread the word and avoid potential election interference. I called BS on the woman and hung up but wanted to pass this along...some people will fall for this scam. It was a 202 phone number...caller was a woman with a deep southern accent.

Same. But not a voter registration card. She said it was a new law going into affect for 2024 general election and the RNC needed money to spread the word.
Isn't ID and voter card something that should be required? I always bring mine when going to the polls, it's like going to the DMV without your birth certificate and vehicle title. I guess I'm kind of confused with this post???
Yes but that’s not the point. In my state a photo id is required but not a copy of the voter registration card. The scam is in getting out the fake word by showing financial support. Most people I know have no idea where their voter registration card is.
some states do not require ID of any kind to vote for anything. It's how they cheat. Early n in 2021 the demonrats led by pelosi tried to make all elections federal to ensure anyone could vote. I think it was called the election integrity bill. It almost passed too.
