I don't see it as taking credit for masks and ventilators, but rather, highlighting the speed at which we responded to Covid by doing what the CDC and the media pressured him to do and would have crucified him if he hadn't. They crucified him anyway, but pointing out "I did what you told me and you still weren't happy" is just fine to me.
