What's vague is what "this way" means
"This way" as in handing the keys to the country over to the enemy on purpose? That would be treason
"This way" as in not actually handing the keys over but pretending to be bad guys while acting out real bad guys agendas? That's...still abhorrent at the very least
It's not like the white hats had 100% control of the country and handed it to the deep state. It goes way beyond the presidency and the people had to see the truth.
Regardless, there's still moral issues with this. And it's still not entirely clear which one it is.
War is messy. Live with it or die while worrying about the "issues".
