The coroner who conducted the autopsy on Trump shooter Thomas Crooks is a dual U.S.-Israel citizen who speaks fluent Hebrew. Go figure.

More reason to not allow individuals with dual citizenship not to be allowed to hold any local, state or federal offices. It is a small, “elite” club, and we aren’t in it!
Yup and I disagree with Massie on this renounce bullshit. No renouncing allowed. If you have EVeR held citizenship anywhere other than USA that should immediately and absolutely disqualify you from ANY govt position. pERIOD no if ands or buts.
I'm born in the Netherlands but a big time US patriot, You saying I shouldn't be able to hold office?
People like me value the freedom we have here much more than the average US citizen.
Then you shouldn't have a problem denouncing your other citizenship.
If you have a problem denouncing your other citizenship then you shouldn't run for office.
Yes. While you may be honest and patriotic, the vast majority of “immigrants” are actually invaders.
They have more loyalty to the 3rd world shithole they have escaped than their new host nation. No sooner do they arrive, that they start screaming injustice and want to convert their host nation to the shitshow they ran from.
There must be at least a 4 or 5 generation rule to keep these subversive elements out of any public/ political office.
Yup. Even though you and I are great patriots there’s no systematic way to tell. For the same reason a president has to be born American and requires both parents naturalnctitizens. I think this should apply to all government.
Don’t think about yourself on this, think about who else it excludes, which is important. You could still be brought in to fill a role.
Fresh immigrants were never supposed to hold office, because there are supposed to be different ways of doing things here that take time to learn. Those ways were lost due to the natives being mass murdered by wars and immigrants being allowed to step in due to need.
It is what it is, but if we recover what we had, an acclimation period and a period of increasing loyalty are sensible as a general goal, and I do agree that due to how things have played out, a lot of immigrants do currently value what we have more than the natives. Divided loyalties are still a thing, though, and quite common. Think of all the “La Raza” (literally, “The Race”) people holding office. How does that look? That’s one of the least concerning issues rising from this.
Where would Michigan be now if there had been protections in place? California? New York?
All fair arguments, I'd obviously renounce my Dutch citizenship if I ever ran for office, I served in the US Army and had no qualms with giving everything up to and including my life for this country. I wish I could do more impactful things for thing country.
