Im witnessing it first hand as my parents near the end of their lives. The medical system is designed to keep you alive long enough to suck every last penny out of you. In this way they destroy any chances for generational wealth to accumulate. This is a war against the middle class and it goes hand in hand with the propaganda that pushes the boomers to spend it on extravagant vacations and homes. Little is left for their children.
Ive planned for this. My wife and I have talked about our end of life plans and I told her I dont want to eek out a couple more years of a miserable existence where all I can do is sit in a chair and watch the world go by, attending multiple doctor appointments every month, or even week, while I feel sick and helpless. I will demand hospice care before that happens. Let me die with my dignity and a piece of the pie left over to help my grandkids on their way.
I am glad my Grandpa taught me the importance of metals when I was young. As I near the end, I plan on gifting all I have accumulated over the last 40 years to keep the governments hands off of it when I die. This has already started to a certain extent.
