Your expectation for how others perceive you is something that is impossible to satisfy, and for two reasons: 1) who you truly are means infinitely less to us than what you desire; and 2) it should mean less to you who you are, regardless of social status and popularity. And why is this so in either case?
The reason is this: who you are amounts to nothing both here, and in the world/life where people know you. At the judgment throne of God you will understand that the only opinion and perception about you that should have mattered was God’s, and nobody else’s. Until then, you will likely continue in your fear of man (instead of God) and you will likely keep the idolatry of your self-esteem on the throne of your heart (instead of God). Repent before it is too late for you to do so.
Until you do, you are infinitely less than who you think you are because of your rejection of God and your unbelief.
