That's no better than saying "cash or crypto is only used by criminals"

The thing about any type of technology that helps preserve Liberty is that outside of the people that create it to meet a specific need, it's often adopted by criminals early on (as they are highly driven to conceal illegal activities)

Even with a predominantly legitimate user base the people trying to oppress you will label it as something that only criminals use in order to legislate against it and give it a bad reputation so people like you will "think" just what they want you to. Basically "Don't go where we can't see and hear you. Only criminals do that" Sucker.

Over time other people start to adopt this technology for other purposes. This isn't much different than the first pagers / beepers being used primarily by doctors, businessmen and Wall Street types then quickly adopted by drug dealers, then shortly after that practically everyone had one including high school kids. Then we see this repeated with cell phones and other tech.

My church, our abortion ministry / legislative efforts, and a huge network of christian business owners as well as the leadership of some other like-minded churches we communicate with, use signal (like telegram but better) to keep our communications private from government surveillance. I know someone that was making fake vax cards and mailing them all around the world that used telegram. If he hadn't he would have been busted in a month or 2.
