I’d venture at least at this stage at least. Things aren’t fucked up bad enough to toss the metaphorical Baby out with the Bathwater. It’s more everything revolving around our elections is done in a frankly outdated fashion contributing to why things failed. As our previous preferred model for doing things assumes a level of trust and faith in people and companies and that mankind’s better nature will win out over partisan politics and self-interest.

When none of that has proven thus far to be the case. For several decades at minimum. Which would suggest we’re in need of updating our Governing Documents. And making somethings clearer. And addressing the holes.

There’s an argument to be had about mending some glaring flaws. Like frankly the cultural/societal tendency especially in elected officials over prioritization of the short term. Over long term. But that’s fairly low priority on the scale of conversations we should probably be having at the moment.

Though I’d be lying if I said I didn’t understand some of the likely sentiments behind the monarchal opinion. Even if I don’t agree with it.
