This is no different than Apple coming into your home to remove products you got from their store and is absolutely ridiculous overreach. Do you own your phone or not?.
I want to say they've done it before, or at least tried. It's part of the "own nothing" bit. You just perpetually "rent" everything. Same with games on consoles. If the corporation doesn't like an app or game they currently have the power to remove it or make it non-functional
