Notice the media took the bait. They are focused on his "mistake" of using a number over 100% of something that can't be more than 100%. To explain the problem with his statement they have to refer to the issue of migrants taking black people's jobs though. All while sneaking in a '17' for us!

I mean many times percentages over 100 are used to say, show how something doubled (200%) etc...
If you are talking about something finite like the number of jobs created then there can't be more than all or 100% of them. I think he is saying that black Americans not only didn't get any newly created jobs but lost jobs that they already had to illegal immigrants.
Yes, factor in the 7% decrease in overall jobs, and you get a 107% loss of jobs
