RFK had vowed to do a REAL investigation of his brother's (JFK) assassination, He very likely would have won the election which went to Richard Nixon.

(a) Pilot error weather related plane crash. I don't think so.
(b) Killed by sabotage of his private plane. Maybe.
(c) Faked his own death as he was running against Hillary Clinton for senator of new York (he would have won). Got tipped off to planned assassination. Lived to fight another day. My preference.

I’ve read that this is why Jackie married Onassis and got the hell out of Dodge. She didn’t want her kids to be next. She’s been quoted as saying “They’re killing Kennedys”.
