Android phones absolutely listen and serve ads. I stood next to my sister-in-law as she talked about a vacation property her family owns on the other side of the country. Thirty minutes later I'm served ads for visiting the very city she talked about.
Is there someone alive who still doesn't understand this? That their smartphone MUST be eavesdropping on them 100% of the time in order to hear the rare time they go "Hey Alexa" or "Hey Google"? How else could it possibly know when you said its name?
