^^^^^ This. Zuck is concerned about one thing, Meta. Meta exists as the largest data-mining operation ever created. Posts, likes, news articles shared, private messages - Meta sees them all and can predict outcomes using a data pool that exponentially dwarfs what's available to all pollsters combined.

Because he's been under control his entire life.

People like you and I have never knowingly been under someone's thumb.

We still have a modicum of free will/choice in our lives and we gag at the thought of being controlled.

Mark Zuckerberg has only ever been controlled. He seeks it. If he has empathy, then his apology is offering you control.

If he has no empathy, then he wishes for the narrative to control him in the correct direction.
