Honestly, it's not. This is speaking from experience and trying to live by lessons learned. I think one reason we are where we are is because we would get a win like this and then either relax or stop fighting all together. We need to learn that the battle is never over, we can never rest. Any time we do, evil fills the vacuum we leave and advances.

Not to burst the bubble, but this is a temporary win. This is how they operate. They will "back down" for now but bring it up again next year, or the next, or the next. They are patient and relentless and NEVER lose sight of their goals and NEVER give up. This is their life, religion and eternity.

But we keep supporting them and re-electing them on their empty words. Hold him accountable. Maybe, just maybe, if he constituents demand accountability, he will make real, meaningful stands and action.
