But that everclear is still probably killing off most of the microbes in your mouth, the same as real mouthwash...

I'm torn on this one as I've been fighting periodontal and coronal artery disease which are interrelated. My BP is on the high side of normal. The bacteria in recessed gums can get into the blood stream and cause heart problems. And it could also be the 30 other unpronounceable ingredients in Listerine causing the problem as well.
