Maybe don’t be a human rights activist?
Human rights are important, but have an understanding that being an American traveling to a war zone & participating in a "peaceful protest" for a cause you cannot fully understand has severe risks.... and don't be so full of hubris and think you'll be treated differently because your special.
no matter what you think, she held an American passport. that passport is supposed to have some sort of protections against violence from the "usa's greatest ally". Imagine if this were to have happened in russia...
They are, I agree… however it also ends with…I didn’t know N Korea would arrest me….or I didn’t think the taliban would slit my neck. So if not there…..
Just like when liberals backpack across Afghanistan or Iraq in an attempt to show its a peaceful culture and always end up rapid and killed.
