Cloud seeding does not always work, but you can go tell the farmers suffering from drought that you have the power to alleviate it---but won't.
The rest is utter nonsense. No "star trek." No "space laser." No "large spinning mirror" (where did that come from?). We never did "build that." You need to distinguish between reality and fantasy.
I agree with you on the cloud seeding. That is real.
I was saying there is no 'weather modification net' like on star trek. LOL
The spinning mirrors comment was from the movie Real Genius. Val Kilmer's character "Chris Knight" is working on a laser in University. His buddy later points out that with a mirror and targeting system it can be used as a weapon. So the heroes repurpose it from a weapon of assassination to... a giant popcorn popper. :D :D
I wasn't suggesting it was 'real'. in a literally sense.
Just that things have been repurposed.
Can't think of anything that has been done by heroes that makes ya want popcorn?

That's all i was saying.
Sorry, then. I have a policy of taking people at their word---because sometimes the most absurd things are proposed seriously. I like popcorn.
