Or it wouldnt to allow for the maximum amount of religious freedom while still employing those princples.
Where does it say in the bible god gives us the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness? It seems to me god does what he wants in the bible, rights be damned. Whenever I bring up wiping out cities and even all life on the planet, christians say "Wulp he makes the rules!"
For future reference, "God" is spelled with an upper case G.
Only by believers. I don't feel the need to worship an invented creator of all things.
God never did any of those things without first warning and allowing those people time to change their ways. In some cases begging them to turn away from their evil ways for 400 years before commanding the Israelites to defeat them. God is very patient but eventually cannot tolerate wickedness for forever. Its one of those things when non belivers see evil happening they say “Why does God allow evil to continue” but when he actually does something about evil after giving the people multiple chances to change people say “God is a monster!”. You cant have it both ways.
When did god warn humanity about the flood? You know, when he wiped out all life on the planet?
Well Noah was considered righteous and received the warning from God and we know that others spoke with him so its pretty easy to see that he explained what he was doing and why and his explanation served as a warning. But even in absence of a outright warning the people had been wicked for a very long time and had rejected God not only in word but in deed. Like i said it is only a matter of time until God deals with pervasive wickedness. But the story of Noah is a harbinger of Gods willingness to save those who will follow him and repent from a wicked life. This is most fully realized in Christs life, death, and resurrection.
