Why does Trump keep bragging about those stupid ventilators?

From everything I heard, those ventilators were death machines during the COVID era. Every body that was hooked up to one ended up dead.

Yet, DJT always mentions distributing these ventilators as one of his achievements during the COVID era.

I suspect the ventilators will prove useful at some future point, though they might not be used for purpose we normally associate them with.
