Obviously she is both Indian and African with some European. She has more Indian DNA then anything though at 50%. I don't know why this is hard to understand.
It's not hard to understand at all. You are missing the point. Recent info regarding her family ethnicity says her mother identifies as Indian/Hindu and her father says he is Irish and Hindu. He was raised in Jamaica, but has no Jamaican in him, allegedly. Now, since both her parents were in the U.S. on expired visas when her mom was pregnant, they stayed until Kamala was born in order to make her an anchor baby. They even listed both of their ethnicities as 'Caucasian' on the birth certificate so they wouldn't call attention to themselves being foreigners and be deported.
Based on that information, Kamala has zero black in her. She has Hindu/Indian & Irish. Period.
The point of the matter is that Kamala was 'African black' when she wanted to receive an affirmative action scholarship to an HBCU (historically black college & university) which she did. Note that these HBCU schools have a much lower academic requirement, and less rigorous requirements to graduate than a non-HBCU.
When she ran for Senator, she identified as Indian. She even was a guest on Mindy Kaling's cooking show where they agreed they were both 'Indian'.
See: Kamala Harris and Mindy Kaling cook Masala Dosa https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xz7rNOAFkgE
She then (see the video) identified as 'South Asian' when she was running for VP in 2020, and now, she is the 'First Black Presidential candidate' while running in 2024. After much pushback, she adjusted her published data to include both Jamaican and Indian in her bio.
Her flip-flopping carries over to her public appearances. She changes her voice, style, and accent depending upon the ethnicities of her attendees wherever she speaks.
She flip flops with her message, her policies, her ethnicity and racial identity. Who is she really? She is a FRAUD.
According to an idiot named Joe Brown. We have been through this. All it takes is one look at her father's mother. She is very obviously mostly African genetically.
He was raised in Jamaica, but has no Jamaican in him
"Jamaican" isn't an ethnicity. It's a nationality composed of people from various cultures. It's like saying you were raised in America, but you have no American in you.
I can't believe that I keep seeing this stuff posted over and over.
What she does is the same exact thing that millions and millions of other biracial/multiracial people do.
I'm getting the impression that the people that are getting so upset over this simply don't know anyone who is multiracial and are incapable of understanding how people can identify with more than one ethnicity.
If she's talking to a group of Indian people then of course she's going to talk about her Indian heritage and what she has in common with that group. Because she's talking to them at the moment.
Just to try to get across how this is common in multiracial people, I'll share a personal anecdote.
Many people on my dad's side of the family married into Mexican and Central American families, because of missionary work they did there. So when I spend time with my dad's side of the family, I speak a good bit of Spanish. We listen to a lot of Spanish music. We eat a lot of Mexican and El Salvadoran food.
My mom's side of the family are mainly creole and Cajuns from New Orleans. When I'm with them, I eat a lot of Cajun food. My mom's side of the family have more money than my dad's, so things tend to be more formal at our family get togethers. I'm trying to learn some Louisiana Creole, because it's a pidgin language that's dying out and I think it's important to pass that part of my heritage on.
Now, if we applied the attitude you have towards Harris towards me, then you would be criticizing me for speaking Spanish with my dad's family, instead of playing up my French heritage with them, and conversely, not playing up my Spanish heritage with my mom's family. You'd be criticizing me for dressing in more expensive clothes with my mom's side of the family, because I don't want to be seen as showing off on my dad's side.
I don't know if people honestly can't understand how and why multiracial people interact differently with people of their different backgrounds, or if you're just trying to find anything to criticize her about.
Because there are tons of things that you can criticize her about that would have an actual impact on the country.
What does it matter in the grand scheme of things if she acts differently depending on which group she's talking to, based on her cultural background?
How can it possibly affect your, or anyone else's, life, if she code switches? That's what it's called when people speak differently based on who they're talking to. It's an extraordinarily common thing.
Criticizing her (or anyone else of a Multicultural background) on racial or cultural issues is not going to do anything other than play into the stereotype that conservatives/Republicans/MAGAs/anons are a bunch of white racists who just don't like brown people.
Before you get all upset, I'm not calling you a racist. I'm saying that doing what you're doing is going to be interpreted that way by the very people we're trying to redpill.
So what are you gaining from doing this? What do you think you're gaining, exactly?
I keep warning people that this type of thing is just going to hurt us, but you're all absolutely devoted to make her race/ethnicity a big thing.
Can you really not find anything better to criticize her over than how she changes how she speaks to different groups?
You really need to understand that a large percentage of Americans, like me, do the same exact thing. Every single day of our lives. And there is nothing wrong with it.
And for the love of God, please, please, please stop saying Jamaican is a race. Seriously, it's embarrassing. 🤦♀️
I wonder if it makes the race baiters head explode if/when Elon Musk (or others) refer to him as an African-America. I'm not sure if he even does, but I find it funny.
Kamala is a mammy when she's in the south, urbane woman of color in the northeast, in California, Kamala is southeast Asian - she's as fake as they come.
Wow. That's so weird! It's like how I speak Spanish with my dad's side of the family and speak Louisiana Creole when I'm with my mom's!
I guess I'm fake, too!! Just as fake as the millions and millions and millions of other Multicultural Americans who understand that code switching is simply a part of life. People who will be voting soon.
But yeah, keep focusing on her ethnicity, just to give people more ammunition when they call us a bunch of racists. That's certainly going to help things. 🙄
But nice touch with the "mammy" reference. Totally doesn't put the cherry on the sundae here.
Oh please, Kamala is the one changing her accent depending upon the crowd at her events. Watch old movies and you'll see what I meant by the "mammy" comment.
No, it isn't the same as you speaking to your family. That's real. Kamala isn't.
Yes, I'm aware of what she's doing. It's called code-switching.
I just posted about it here to the OP, you should read it.
People with multicultural backgrounds code-switch all the time, not only with their families. It's common to code-switch at work, as well. And that is her work. And they're just as "real" as you are.
There is plenty of things to criticize Harris over. I don't understand why people are picking this to make such a fuss over.
All it's doing is playing in to the stereotype that conservatives/MAGA/Anons are racists who can't grasp the concept of multiculturalism and just don't like brown people.
If you can explain how it hurts you, or anyone else, in any actual way that she uses different accents to connect with different audiences, I would love to hear it.
Do you guys just not get it that you're not doing anything good by making a big deal out of her heritage?
Seriously, what is to be gained by this? Other than emphasizing that you're out of touch with how many Americans are also from multicultural backgrounds and a)understand that code-switching is ubiquitous and b) are getting pretty sick of people saying she's "fake" for doing so, or that there's something wrong with it.
I'm going to point out that code-switching is encouraged by the same people who are criticizing her for doing it.
Just think of all the times you've heard someone criticized for not speaking "proper English" at school or work. Or for having "ethnic" hairstyles. Or wearing "ethnic" clothes?
All of that is involved in code-switching. So, basically, the idea is that people are encouraged to "act white" when they're in a predominantly white setting.
What Harris is being criticized for here is basically not "acting white" all the time in public and for understanding what people of different cultural backgrounds value, and showing that she understands that and can identify with them.
And that's really what you want to make a point of criticizing her for?
Also, I'd love for you to give an example of a time where she spoke like whatever it is that you believe a "mammy" sounds like.
I told you to watch old movies, like Gone With the Wind for instance.
No, I'm not criticizing Kamala for not acting White and you know it.
Grow a pair and stop acting like a snowflake.
Stop misdirecting. No one here is being racist. Don't try to twist our words, here.
I think you are confusing two different things.
If Kamala were speaking to a group of supporters who were of Indian ethnicity who did not speak English as a first language and she spoke to them in Hindi, or Bengali that would make sense.
Then, if she spoke to her alleged Jamaican Creole side of the family who also do not speak English as their first language and she spoke Patwa or Portuguese to them depending, then that would make sense and be seen as admirably accommodating. (That is what you say you do, right...?)
No one would criticize that at all.
But that's not what's happening!
She's speaking to, or interacting with, English speaking audiences and American people who speak English as their first language, but depending upon where she thinks she can gain the most diversity points, she embraces only one aspect of her ethnicity while denying the other, depending upon her 'crowd'.
She's engaging in different personalities altogether, and proclaiming herself 'Indian' or 'Black' or 'South Asian' or a 'Woman of Color' or a 'White, American Woman' with ever-changing body language, accents, and slang, whichever suits her more favorably at that moment.
This is what which is rightly seen as disingenuous or fake. She's not applying to be an actress for the Screen Actors Guild, but President of the United States.
If you can't see the difference, then you are being willfully ignorant.
To most of our minds, we have no issue with her blended ethnicity. But, from the beginning she should have identified as what she is - an American of Indian & Jamaican ethnicity. She's not 'Black' when it serves her or 'South Asian' when that serves her. She is of Indian & Jamaican ethnicity, period.
She's speaking to, or interacting with, English speaking audiences and American people who speak English as their first language, but depending upon where she thinks she can gain the most diversity points, she embraces only one aspect of her ethnicity while denying the other, depending upon her 'crowd'.
No, again, what she's doing is called code-switching. Did you not bother to even see what that was when I mentioned it? Obviously not, if you believe that it simply means speaking to someone in their native language.
What she is doing is showing whatever group she is with at the moment that she understands them and understands what is important to them. That is not a negative, and it doesn't make her fake or an actress.
Seriously, you need to at least try to understand multiculturalism. It's an important aspect of America today. I don't think you understand that criticizing Harris for code-switching, and being able to identify with more than one cultural background, and acknowledging that other Americans are from a non-WASP or multicultural background is going to blow up in your face.
You can keep saying that you're not a racist and that it's not racist to make these claims, but that isn't going to stop people thinking that this is all racially motivated. Especially when you also make comments about how her parents said they were Caucasian so they wouldn't be deported. I'm wondering why you think that. Because it's implying that the deportation policies in the US are based on race, and non-Caucasian people are more likely to be deported.
The comment about HBCUs having lower academic requirements than non-HBCUs also doesn't help your stance here. Where exactly are you getting that information?
Tell me how her using different accents or slang affects your life. How does it change anything in your life? Other than you choosing to let it bother you?
Choosing to make her heritage, and how she relates to different groups, such a big issue is not going to help anything.
There are plenty of things that she can be criticized over that would have an actual impact on people's lives. That should be what people are focusing on.
Racial codeswitching is one impression management strategy where Black people adjust their self-presentation to receive desirable outcomes (e.g., perceived professionalism) through mirroring the norms, behaviors, and attributes of the dominant group (i.e., White people) in specific contexts.
After all, language is powerful. It can be used to manipulate and gain control. We all make assumptions based on someone's language and behavior. The dual nature of code-switching: Costs and benefits
Code-switching strategies are multifaceted and varied, and can result in a variety of benefits and drawbacks. For one, people may code-switch to obtain professional opportunities, avoid stereotypes, accrue cultural capital, or attain social belonging. These outcomes may bear a positive hue, yet the shadow of code-switching looms large, casting uncertainty upon one’s authentic self-expression. This incongruence in how individuals behave in different contexts can cause identity confusion and impact feelings of belonging in certain spaces. Moreover, the sustained act of code-switching can exact a mental toll, potentially leading to cognitive fatigue and burnout, as individuals remain hypervigilant to monitor their surroundings.
Just because people can be manipulative by using Code-switching does not make Code-switching itself manipulative. Pretty much anything can be used to manipulate people.
Why are you only posting what could be considered the negative aspects here? Are you trying to manipulate people into thinking code-switching is negative?
Look. People don't like the Code Switching that she's doing. It is seen as manipulative and disingenuous and weird. We don't like it, OK? We don't want that in our President.
We are looking for this:
Pro-America-First, Smart, Knowledgeable on EVERYTHING having to do with the United States Military, Foreign issues, GNP, etc., and ability to manage giant bodies of staff. Kamala had 95% of her staff quit according to reports.
We don't want Black First (instead of All- America First), we don't want 'Brat', or Momala, or Wine Mom, or Cool Aunt, or Fun Aunt. We don't want flip flopping, Open borders, Black today, Indian Tomorrow, something else next week.
We also are sick of everything LGBTQ at the White House and people picked for their Diversity instead of their talent and skills. We want Smart, Loyal, Americans in charge. Period.
CONSISTENCY is key.
If you don't get it. Sorry. I don't have any more time to discuss this with you.
Plenty of people like the Code-switching she's doing. You might want to look at the demographics of the US. We're becoming more and more racially diverse every year.
I think you, along with many people here, forget that everyone isn't just like you, nor should they be.
You're just pointing out that you don't like or understand multicultural people. It's not only Harris that you're insulting when you call her fake, disingenuous, or weird for code switching, it's millions and millions of other Americans as well. People don't tend to like it when you insult them like that. Especially when you criticize the same people for not code switching when it benefits you, such as wanting everyone to speak "proper English" and not "ebonics" at work.
I'm doing my best to try to get you to understand that this attitude is not helping anything. But you're absolutely dedicated to continue doing so. How are you planning on redpilling people, or changing what they think, if you're out there constantly insulting and offending them? Do you honestly expect to change anyone's mind with how you approach this?
If you are legitimately concerned with the non-racial policies Harris is promoting, then it would be a better use of your time addressing those policies. I'm sure you could figure out a way to discuss her policies without making it about her race or heritage.
According to psychiatrist and body language expert Carol Lieberman, Kamala Harris suffers from "imposter syndrome," a psychological condition where a person lacks confidence in their competence and feels they don't deserve to succeed.
So should we believe them when they say this about Trump?
narcissistic personality (sometimes combined with antisocial personality), malignant narcissism, bipolar disorder, paranoid personality and paranoid psychosis, and some form of cognitive impairment reflecting early dementia. Long behavioral lists of self-aggrandizing, lying, snarly criticizing, boasting, bullying, blaming others for troubles, and needing constant praise are paraded out to the readership.

OK. Her 'family history' just keeps getting curiouser and curiouser.
Wonder if we'll ever find out the truth?
What is there to wonder about? It's pretty straightforward. African mixed with European ancestors from her dad's side and Indian from her mom's side.
"Jamaican" isn't an ethnicity. It's a nationality composed of people from various cultures. It's like saying you were raised in America, but you have no American in you.

We want Strong, Honest, Available, Dependable, Quick, Sharp, Consistent, Stalwart, Hard-working, Dedicated, Loyal, Fair, Informed, Up-to-Date, Educated.
I thought this might be of interest to you:
According to psychiatrist and body language expert Carol Lieberman, Kamala Harris suffers from "imposter syndrome," a psychological condition where a person lacks confidence in their competence and feels they don't deserve to succeed.

So we're believing psychiatrists now?
So should we believe them when they say this about Trump?

Indian and African she is indian and jamaican (where her grandma owned slaves)
The majority of Jamaica's population is considered to be of West African origin. Census data: 92.1% of Jamaicans identify as Black.
Mixed heritage: A small percentage of Jamaicans also have mixed heritage, including European and East Indian ancestry.
... but she was ALWAYS stupid and a commie.
Kind of like Rachel Dolezal.
