I had to leave after Trump was at the podium for about 10 minutes. All of the vendors ran out of water and people were dropping like flies. I had already been at the medical tent getting some water and shade, but they were swamped and had limited amounts of water also. I was parked over a mile away and had a cooler full of water and Gatorade. All of the vendors outside of the rally had run out of water due to a massive crowd that wasn't able to get inside.

Yes, I took a shower, had some dinner and am lying in bed now. Got sun burnt, extra crispy.

I guess this is why POTUS cut the rally short. He could see the crowd suffering..I checked the temperature for Wilmington and it was only supposed to be 80 or 81.

81 was the forecast but it topped out at 90. I watched the rest of the speech when I got home and saw the concern on his face as he looked out to the audience. Secret Service and Sheriff Deputies were hauling people out of the seating area one after another. Out in the concession area they had been rushing people to the Medic tent for at least an hour before the seating area. I'm sure President Trump tore some people a new asshole for not having water emergency delivered.

Thanks for the link! Wish I could have gone. I live close enough to attend but I cannot attend because there is no way I can stand that long. Doors opened at 10 am to get a good position you have to be there even earlier. The rally supposedly starts at 2 pm but Trump is usually late.. I really would have loved to have gone to at least one Trump rally but am too old and now have difficulties standing that long.
I understand fren... it's a looong time in line, but you have the best seat in the house! Enjoy the Rally in the air conditioning!
If he comes again, you can bring chairs, you just have to ditch them or take them back to the car before going in. Have someone w/ you to hold your spot in the line.
You can just leave the chairs against the fence and pick them up on the way out. I usually bring a cooler as well and leave it outside. I didn't do it this time since it was an early rally, and I was getting there a little late. These rallies are really hard on the body so I don't blame anybody who cannot do it.

You might try one of these canes with a collapsible seat. We were in line at a Rally and saw a Gentleman ahead of us in line with one and it was allowed in by USSS. He was using it as a cane when he went through the Security Checkpoint.
