I live in a small mountain town in Japan and I still see women in hijabs at the store and such. Japan is importing Malaysians, Sri Lankans, and others to work the fields (along with Vietnamese and Chinese) because rural populations are dwindling and kids are growing up and moving to the big cities to find jobs rather than continue the family's farms.
I know several Filipinas working in Japan, but they aren't working in the fields. Working as office cleaners and store clerks etc... A pain in the ass for them because they had to get extensive training in Manila with no pay, months of training. Had to learn to speak Japanese...
Japan is quite racist in that you will NEVER fit in, but thats ok.
Yeah, but I never fit in when I lived in America. I like how people leave me alone here. I generally keep to myself and my family and don't feel lonely without friends to spend time with. Most of my social interaction is online via email, messaging, vidchat, etc.
Yeah, I'm happy alone and spend a lot of time alone, and am happy with it as well. However, along with typing Verbose, I talk non-stop when I have a chance. Rarely trivia mostly life stories and MAGA stuff these days...
I'm no Tesla, but did ok on IQ tests and AZFAB, ACT, and GED tests. I have read that intelligent people often are ok with few friends. I like to sing Karaoke, but its just for the attaboys I never got as a child. It feels great when people dance or turn on their cellphone flashlights!
My fellow foreign coworkers here in Japan are either clueless or shitlibs, save for one. The last time I took an IQ test, I was at 139. I think it was higher when I was tested as a child and got stuck in the gifted program at my elementary school I had no interest in joining. There are different IQ tests, but the ones that focus on metaphors and pattern recognition are the ones I do best at.
