You don't buy these coins for the silver value. You buy them for the historical value and to help the Trump campaign. I have two Half Cent coins, the copper value is negligible but one of the coins is worth $400 and the other $70.
Not sure about funding the campaign but my point still stands. Kids didn't buy baseball cards for the value of the paper, they bought them because they liked the players. Yet we know some have turned out to be worth million$. By the same token you don't buy silver or gold coins for the metal value. Doing that is pure dumbassery. You buy them for the historical, sentimental or potential collectable value. If you are buying physical precious metals for the metal value you buy ingots.
Well, the comment he replied to said "You don't buy these coins for the silver value. You buy them for the historical value and to help the Trump campaign."
So, I think that is where the "assumption" came from

Exactly. This is a piece of history. Trump's 1st official coin. I will never sell it. I'll give it to my grand children someday.
Does this really fund the campaign? I see nothing about that on there. Seems like a rip off.

Yeah, it 100% does
Why would you assume this funds the campaign?
Seems dumb to assume it's a rip off because it doesn't support the campaign.

But it literally does support the campaign?
Its just marketing fren.
