Another example is when you say something with a sarcastic tone of voice several times spaced over time, in time people will remember what you said and take it as fact because memory of the sarcastic tone will fade.
When brain gets two conflicting inputs at the same time, what will usually stick is the one that is the easiest to retain, be it visual over words or words over sarcastic tone....
(have seen rather a lot of this used in the show, but while it very much works few people discern it on a conscious level....)
