Meh, I'm not a fan any of these several week dietary experiments. So many diet/health youtubers do these. Not enough time really for anything. Needs to be several months, at LEAST 3!
Anyhow, I eat on average about 10 whole eggs per day (organic/cage free). My LDL was "a little high" on my last lab tests. 103 I believe. Been eating tons of eggs for 30 years. You have people like Paul Saladino saying LDL doesn't matter if you are metabolically healthy. I don't know. I likes me some eggs.
Yeah I just got introduced to him recently. The things he says seem intuitively correct and he provides a lot of data to support his ideas. A bit on the extreme side of course but good to aspire to.
True. I like the guy however... he wrote "the book" on carnivore diet and then started eating fruit again. Now it's ok to eat several hundred grams of carbs per day. And then, how much does the fact that he surfs for hours per day influence his health and fitness? I'd say far above and beyond his diet! He doesn't really seem to factor that into his lectures.
I actually like the fact that he changed his opinion based on new information even though he had a very established opinion.
I’ve only listened to a couple long form podcasts and a bunch of shorter YouTube videos but in the podcasts he’s been fairly clear that he surfs a lot and is very active and that’s why he’s able to eat so many carbs. And that part of his diet might not be applicable to everyone.
But fair point about his activity level and all, I’m very active myself so I might just gloss over some of that stuff
