October is going to be a VERY Big month.
Rosh Hashanah will be celebrated from October 2–4.
Yom Kippur will be celebrated on October 11–12.
Sukkot will be celebrated from October 16–23.
Rosh Hashanah The beginning of the Jewish calendar, which literally means "Head of the Year". It is celebrated with services and apples dipped in honey, and marks the start of a 10-day period of prayer and repentance.
Yom Kippur The Day of Atonement, which is the holiest day of the Jewish calendar. It marks the end of the 10 days of repentance and is spent in prayer and fasting.
Sukkot Also known as the Feast of Tabernacles, this harvest festival is celebrated by setting up temporary dwellings called Sukkot, which are decorated with fruit and vegetables.
Shemini Atzeret This holiday is celebrated the day after Sukkot. In Israel, it is often combined with Simchat Torah.
Oct. 2 is supposed to be the International Day of Non Violence.
