God’s Word is rigid. Don’t get why people think there is wiggle room when it comes to the Word of God. It’s clear. False gods, equal anyone receiving worship other than God. Prayers are worship. Asking is praying. A servant is never in a position to be on a equal level to his master. Therefore asking like your equal isn’t correct. It’s always in the form of a petition. Some would say begging or praying. But we are loved. More than anyone in your life could love you. I think having a regular conversation is fine to the Lord Jesus. He’s our connection to the Father. We have the Holy Spirit. But we are not equals. Humbleness. Being humble. This is mentioned many times in the Bible. Jesus is my friend. And I bend a knee to Him always. So I will always talk in an matter of “less than”. And am always safe in that position because He is so good. He would never betray me or hurt me in His position of power.
Helping is a good thing. I’m glad I had direct people to help me straighten out. We learn “our truths”. Then they turn out false. I love talking about scripture because it’s the truth, and I can just post the actual words and translations of such. So in a way, why would I be humble to teaching of God’s Word? I’m being nice and cordial. Not calling names and cursing as I have been treated. If anything those learning should learn to humble themselves. It’s God’s Word people have a problem with. Those who “think” they know better. Or the “you do you” comments. And of course “you’re not Catholic”…so I guess I’m not welcomed to the party. So yes, being humble is great. Pass that along to some of your friends. Learn God’s Word. It’s important. I’ve been humbled. I’ve been ignorant. I will continue to be. And thank the Lord for that. But, by the Word of God. Not by those who make up their own laws outside of the teachings of Jesus.
Understood. My spiritual life is not nearly as rigidly constructed as yours, but I wish you the best.
