All areas around Asheville or the eastern part of NC.
I live in Central FL and most of the news around here is about the Asheville area. But, I understand why. We have strong and effective leadership in this State, so the media never really focuses on FL unless it serves [their] purpose.
Remember [their] motto, "Never let a good crisis go to waste..."
Florida normally has a solid response to hurricanes and tropical storms. Even JEB was a good crisis manager throughout the storms of his tenure.
Our responses are way more proactive than they use to be. My friends house got flooded, we had to throw everything away. The same day we emptied it they came and took it away. Mississippi electrical guys rolled in within 3 days, they staged the fire department in every neighborhood at the local church parking lots so the response time was less than a minute to most of the places affected. The rescue and recovering people was happening during the storm. I've been through a bunch of these, thos storm response was the best ive ever seen.
Based on the scope of damage I have to agree. I lost power for three days due to the hurricane. But then again I lost power for three days with a typical afternoon summer thunderstorm rolling in from the Gulf last year.
Losing power for three days is not a big deal as others lost far, far worse.
Pretty disingenuous post.
How so?
For me, the “news” that TN National Guardsmen are mostly overseas was the clincher. But admittedly I don’t watch or listen to MSM. Unless linked here at GAW by anons. But sure hope all the illegal occupants throughout our country are okay! 😏
