They " authorize" spending bills and that shit that EVENTUALLY gets executed by the treasury. The perpetual "overspending" (I call it looting) got us here, where mathematically, the interest coupons are 1Trillion dollars every 100(ish) days.

If for example people will have to resort to building villages, all the precious metals in the world will be worth nothing. Food staples, coffee, alcohol, medical supplies, ammunition, labor will be used as commodities for trade and barter, labor too. What will gold and silver cost when there's literally no economy?
