This dude is full of shit. The war of 1812 was settled by the Treaty of Ghent in 1814, ratified in Feb 1815. NOWHERE in the 11 articles of the treaty is there ANY mention of ownership or jurisdiction of the ports. Anyone try reading it. I declare his diatribe as 100% pure Bullshit.
