People in 17 counties in Florida, 25 counties in North Carolina and the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, as well as 13 counties in South Carolina can now apply for assistance with FEMA. People can apply in four ways: online by visiting disasterassistance.gov, calling 1-800-621-3362, on the FEMA App, or via disaster recovery centers.
I honestly don't get why people are so outraged that it's the same amount of money that people got in the Lahaina fires.
If it was based on cost of living, then the people getting money for Helene should get much less.
I'm frankly disgusted by so-called conservatives whining that they're not getting enough money from FEMA.
And, yeah, I know the typical response will be something along the lines of "I pay taxes, so I paid for that FEMA money I'm squalling over!"
So, fuck it, just start squalling about welfare and food stamps, and all the other "free" money you want the government to give you, since you pay taxes. To hell with pride and self respect and self reliance. Sit there and blubber about how the gubmint isn't taking care of you like they should.
Note: This is speaking of the general "you", not you, as in Brent75, specifically.
Same as Lahaina!! WTF?!?!
$50 more than Lahaina, I think. Their generosity knows no bounds.
To cover the effect of Biden-Harris-caused inflation
;-)
I guess they have a standard budget for disaster victims. But of course unlimited budget for illegal aliens and foreign countries.

There needs to be an updootdowndoot button for comments like this, where there’s agreement in abhorrence.
