When you keep repeating to yourself what you want to believe, and keep defining and redefining words and semantics just so that your perceived reality matches your convenience, does it ever give you the comfort you crave?
From my own experience working with emotionally challenged people, this is just a temporary fix, and infact leads to pent-up frustrations. Of course, you may be the only exception.
