This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.

Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.

Rules for General Chat

Be respectful to each other. This is of utmost importance, and comments may be removed if deemed not respectful.
Avoid long drawn out arguments. This should be a place to relax, not to waste your time needlessly.
Personal anecdotes, puzzles, cute pics/clips - everything welcome
Please do not spam at the top level. If you have a lot to post each day, try and post them all together in one top level comment
Try keep things light. If you are bringing in deep stuff, try not to go overboard.
Things that are clearly on-topic for this board should be posted as a separate post and not here (except if you are new and still getting the feel of this place)
If you find people violating these rules, deport them rather than start a argument here.
Feel free to give feedback as these rules are expected to keep evolving

In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way

First of all - I usually catch the daily chats when they're like 20 hours old so I love getting in early.

That said, I just want to say - This year has been a bumpy road for me. Hell, it might have even taken a tire off and I had to ride on an axel sparking like a firework a few times. But, There's 3 things in my life that just a few years ago I didnt have: Church, AA, and this website. So, like my father's little saying he's had for many years goes: "thanks for being YOU"

all 3 of those things I mentioned? Let's pretend this is a physical room I sit in like the other two and....

...these three rooms have given me hope when I needed it most. This community hasn't even been political to me, because Trump changed the game. "Are you republican or democrat?" to that question my answer is just no - Because 1. we've seen so called "Republicans" (rinos) turn on us more than the most loonie leftie. But more than that?

Trump and Q and even the mods here to keep this place running..... they're beyond that blue bandana vs red bandana crip/blood xbox/playstation sports-team/other sports-team BS. it's GOOD VS EVIL and (with the very minor exception of trolls and otherwise undesirables who only came here to disrupt us)

i'm a sinner im dysfunctional and im kinda just tired of it all - but, im glad I know in my heart im on the right side of this war none of us here WANTED, but we also cant avoid.
