No idea if that is true, but that is what was reported from the start.
There was a storm that had moved over the area when the fire started.
OK but how much can weather be modified to make these wildfires grow and spread in desired directions....
Weather modification has been a thing since the 70's.
There were a handful of documentaries about weather modification in the 70's and 80's and it was presented as a modern marvel that would solve things like droughts and severe storms.
Try since the 40's.... my point was how much has the spread been natural if it did indeed originate from a natural ignition
